FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 GRANTHAM PHARMACY - FAQ

What are your pharmacy hours?
Our pharmacy hours differ slightly from the clinic. We are open every day of the year, including weekends and holidays:
Monday-Friday:
8am - 8pm
Saturday:
9am - 5pm
Sunday:
10am - 4pm
Holidays:
11am - 4pm

Do you offer prescription delivery?
Yes. We offer free local prescription delivery within St. Catharines. For same-day delivery, please call us before noon. If it’s later in the day, we’ll gladly arrange a convenient time within the next few days. Please ensure someone is home to receive and sign for the delivery.

Can I transfer my prescriptions from another pharmacy?
Absolutely. Just give us a call or stop by in person and let us know which pharmacy currently has your prescriptions and we’ll handle the rest for you—quick and easy.

Do you offer blister packaging or medication organizers?
Yes. Our pharmacy team offers convenient weekly, biweekly, or monthly dosette packaging to help you stay organized and on track. Speak with our staff to set up a personalized packaging schedule for yourself or a loved one.

Do your pharmacists prescribe medications?
Yes. Our pharmacists can assess and prescribe for certain minor conditions. To see the full list, visit the Pharmacy page under Services > Minor Ailment Assessments. We’re also able to renew many routine prescriptions. Feel free to give us a call or ask us in person to learn more.

What are your dispensing fees?
We charge a standard dispensing fee, which helps support services like pharmacist consultations, safety checks, and medication reviews. If cost is a concern, please ask to speak with a pharmacist; we’re happy to discuss affordable options.

How long will I have to wait?
Wait times will vary. Most prescriptions are filled within 10 to 20 minutes if the medication is in stock and you’re waiting in-store. We prioritize prescriptions based on who is present and waiting, but timing can vary depending on how many people are ahead of you, the complexity or number of prescriptions, and whether any concerns need to be clarified with your doctor.

For example, filling one prescription may take just a few minutes, while a larger order or something that requires a pharmacist consultation may take longer.

If we receive a prescription by fax and it’s ready to be filled, we’ll always give you a call to let you know when it’s ready, helping you avoid unnecessary waits at the pharmacy.

Can I talk to a pharmacist privately?
Definitely. We have a consultation room where you can speak to a pharmacist one-on-one about your medications, health concerns, or any questions you may have. Please, don’t hesitate to ask.

Is parking available?
Yes. The Grantham Plaza offers ample free parking, including accessible spaces in front of our entrance.

What if I have a concern about how I was treated?
If you ever feel uncomfortable, overlooked, or that the service you received didn’t meet your expectations, please don’t hesitate to speak with the pharmacist or our Designated Manager. We’re committed to treating every patient with kindness and respect, and we genuinely value your feedback.

We thank you for visiting Grantham Pharmacy and hope we were able to resolve all of your medication concerns.
